My story

Priscilla Portales Valle is an outstanding lyrical soprano from Monterrey with great musicality and warm vocal timbre, current head of the 3rd generation of the MOS México Ópera Studio.

She made her debut in ITALY with the role of Flora in the opera “The Turn of the Screw” by B. Britten under the stage direction of D. Gately and the musical director C. Larkin, a production accompanied by the orchestra of the Music Academy International Festival held in Trentino, Italy.

Within the MOS she played 4 roles: ANITA, MICAELA, DONNA ELVIRA and LOLA under the baton of A. Miyaki in the musical and R. Piñero in the scenic.

She also played the role of the kitchen boy in "Rusalka" within the framework of the Jerusalem Opera Festival, under the baton of E. Schmeiser and staged by K. Korobelnik. She covered Giannetta in Donizetti's L'elisir d'amor at the MSOA Monterrey Summer Ópera Academy under the direction of Felipe Tristán.

She is currently the recipient of 3 prizes in competitions, the first in the National Singing Contest of San Miguel de Allende, where she obtained second place in Mexican Opera. She also won 2nd place in the Jerusalem International Singing Competition. She also won 2nd place in Zarzuela in the Carlo Morelli National Singing Contest 2023.

Monterrey Municipality awarded Priscilla Portales Youth Merit Medal of Nuevo León.

She began her musical studies at the age of five with the violin as her main instrument. Thanks to his remarkable talent, she debuted as a soloist when he was just 9 years old, with the Chamber Orchestra of the UANL School of Music under the direction of C. Tarris. As a violinist, he represented Mexico at the International Live Music Festival in Moscow, Russia. 

Priscilla has established herself as an exceptional, and classically trained, violinist, and regularly performs both contemporary and popular musical pieces to delighted audiences. Priscilla has been committed to the violin since she was 5 years old, and has attended violin master classes in order to develop connections and refine her technique.

She has perfected her singing with teachers such as Dolora Zajick, Joanne Dornemann, Rupert Dussman, Susan Morton, Enrique Patron de Rueda, Andrés Sarre, Charles Oppenheim, Rocio Tamez, Maria Katzarava, Markus Hollop and Carlos Conde.
